Session 4 - Scrap Savvy Artwork
For this session of art journaling I am asking everyone to save scraps from their projects or simply bring some larger pieces of paper that can be broken up into pieces. The pieces can be from books, scrapbook paper, magazines, newspapers, maps, sheet music, letters etc.. We will then put the scraps in the middle of the table and everyone can pick from them to create a new piece of art!
Please bring your cut out hearts. Each member has been asked to bring 16 random sized hearts cut out from random paper. They can be embellished or left plain. At this meeting we will exchange these hearts to use in each other's journals.
Last week I passed out monthly templates for January and Febraury. If you were absent at the last meeting, I will give you the template at this meeting. This is an optional exercise for those wishing to chronicle things that have gone on in their lives. You can document your big moments or your little daily activities. You can use the template I provide, or use your own layout. Example Below:
I also gave the suggestion of a journal page about why you love Ohio. It can be about your home town, a specific city, or the state in general. We can share those pages with each other if anyone decided to participate. This was a totally optional assignment. See Example below.
Keep In Mind
After this class Jessica Tice will be hosting her sugar scrub make and take, beginning at 2:30pm. For those of you who wish to stay for the class, the cost is $15 per person.
