Initial Embroidery 101 Class

  • Reclaimed Rose 10 North Main Street Columbiana, OH, 44408 United States (map)

Join us for our first crafting event of 2016! This is a beginner's level class to create a custom embroidered piece. Participants will learn 5 different types of embroidery stitches (straight, french knots, feather, chain, satin) and rosettes. Participants will be shown how to do all stitches, but can choose which ones they wish to use on their embroidery piece. You may also choose how many initials you would like, and either the bold or the regular font style. You will be given the option of stitching in your initials or leaving them as is. When you arrive, you will be able to choose from a variety of different color embroidery thread.

The cost of the class is $15 per person. This includes all materials (material, thread, the 7" hoop which you can keep, the needle and a hanging ribbon). If you choose to make your embroidery into a mini pillow, you may choose a backing fabric and I will stuff and complete your pillow before you leave for a $4 up charge.

This class is beginner's level, but does require manual dexterity. 12 years and older please. Guests are permitted to bring snacks, drinks and wine (if of age). Registration is limited to 6 participants, first come, first serve. To register, please call the shop, email (reclaimed rose@gmail.com) or comment on the Reclaimed Rose Facebook Event Page with your email address. You will then be sent an invoice for the $15 fee for the class. Once this is paid,  you are considered registered and your spot will be held.

Cancellation Policy: There will be no refunds given for cancellations or no shows. If you give at least 48 hours notice that you cannot attend, you can use the registration fee towards another class in the following 6 months. Reclaimed Rose reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the class at any time. If you cannot attend the rescheduled class, you will be given a refund.
