Columbiana Block Party: June Edition

  • Reclaimed Rose 10 N Main St Youngstown, OH 44514 USA (map)

This month's Columbiana Block Party is about "All Things Dad" and is perfect for those who are crazy about cars! We will be hosting both an antique car show and a remote control car race on S Main Street. This is a great opportunity to bring dad for a night on the town and experience all Columbiana has to offer!

PLEASE NOTE: A portion of S Main St will be closed for the festivities. This includes the south end of the circle to AAA.

Antique Car Show: This will take place in front of Brix 'n Brew and continue south into the Schmidt parking lot.

Remote Control Car Race: This will take place from the Our Daily Bread building to Friend Street. At 4:30pm registration will begin.  The cost to participate will be $1 with money raised being donated to the Auxilliary Police. Participants will be divided into groups based on age. Race your car through our obstacle course. Winners in each age group will receive a trophy from Brix 'n Brew.

Live Music: Brent Bregar will be playing at the entrance of the pocket park on S Main Street during the festivities.

Street Food Vendors: More info Coming Soon

Artisans: Local makers, antiquers and sales consultants are invited to set up for free during the three hour event. You may bring a table, chair and tent. Please contact the Columbiana Chamber of Commerce to register for this even prior to showing up. There will be a limit on the number of direct sales consultants per genre. They can be reached at 330-482-3822.

Some of the vendor set for June are:

Tim Bishop with handmade birdhouses, Cindy Giancola from Spruce Home Decor with farmhouse decor, Heidi Datillo of the Pampered Pup, Jess Bures with upcycled furniture and home decor, Alyssa Blevins of Damsel and Defense, Linda Perkey with rag rugs and more!

Each Friday during Columbiana Block Party I will be hosting a fairy make + take. Prior registration is highly encouraged. Only a limited number of supplies will be purchased for the event and it is first come, first served (with the exception of pre-registered/prepaid guests).

This event will be held under a tent in the garden behind Reclaimed Rose. Since it is a make + take, you may stop in anytime between 5pm and 7:30pm to do the craft.

This month's project: Painted Pot Starter Garden

This project is great for all ages. Participants will start by painting a small terra cotta pot. You may also use stamps to add more details to your pot. While it is drying, you will be instructed on how to make your own fairy arbor. If additional drying time is needed, feel free to browse around and come back. Complete the pot by adding a succulent plant, decorative rocks and choosing one of our vintage animals. Additional items can be purchased to further decorate your garden.

Cost: $15 per person. All supplies will be provided. Please bring an extra shirt or apron if you are concerned about getting paint on yourself.

Pre-registration available by calling the shop at 330-892-8932 during normal business hours. Payment can be taken over the phone, or in person at the shop.

The City of Columbiana offers parking on the street as long as there is not a yellow line on the sidewalk next to the street. Additonal lots can be found:
